Las Vegas contractor licence checks
For every trade on this site that Nevada actually licenses, we read the State Contractors Board public record for each company and print what it says. Stars tell you how a company is liked; this tells you whether it is allowed to do the work.
Not every service is a licensed trade. House cleaning, mobile detailing, carpet cleaning, junk removal and mobile mechanics sit outside NRS 624, so there is no state contractor licence to hold and we never show their absence as a flag. A Clark County business licence is a separate thing and is not what is checked here.
Frequently asked questions
Which Las Vegas home services need a state licence?
Nevada licenses construction trades under NRS 624: landscaping, pool work, and any carpentry, painting or repair job above the statutory limit. Cleaning, detailing, junk hauling and mobile mechanical work are not contractor trades.
Is it illegal to hire an unlicensed contractor in Nevada?
Contracting without a licence is the crime, not hiring. The risk to you is practical: no access to the board's residential recovery fund, and no board complaint process.
